Brittany Chatman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bell's Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Lauderdale Lakes on Apr. 9, 2025.
Brittany was a light in our lives, born on Saturday, March 25, 1995, and entered our hearts on Saturday, March 22, 1997. She became my firstborn on January 21, 1998, a precious gift handpicked by God. It was my greatest privilege to have Brittany as my daughter.
Brittany was the epitome of joy and happiness. Her laughter could light up any room, and she was known for her quick wit and one-liner zingers that left everyone in stitches. Her presence was a blessing to all who knew her.
At the tender age of four, Brittany was the Lauderdale Lakes Vikings Cheerleader Mascot. Her spirited nature and dedication were evident early on. At 14, she made a profound commitment by confessing her faith in Jesus Christ and becoming a born again Christian. During her high school years, she was not only a student but also an athlete playing basketball, flag football, and participating in JROTC. She began high school at Plantation High School and proudly graduated from Job Corps NEW Eastern Academy on October 25, 2013 after which she briefly attended Broward College. Brittany was employed with Broward County Public Schools as a very loyal and happy Campus Monitor at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
Brittany now resides in the place we all strive to be, with the Lord. Her absence leaves a void that is deeply felt by her family. Words cannot describe how much I will miss speaking with Brittany daily and giving Mommy Hugs when I see her. Brittany is sorely missed by her mom Debra, her little sister and best friend Bridgette, her cousin Reggie Jr. (Big Brother), her Granny Julia Chatman, her beloved Aunt Janice, her Uncle Reggie, Uncle Ronnie, and Uncle Donnie. Her three godchildren, Iyannah, Isaiah, and Imoni, along with her cousins Nerissa, Alicia, Keith Jr., Reginald II, Tabatha, and Cynthia, also feel the loss profoundly.
Brittany's legacy of love and joy will forever remain in our hearts. Her spirit continues to inspire and uplift us as we cherish the memories of the beautiful soul she was. I love you still beyond measure my dear Brittany.
