Bro. George Virgil Pike, age 76, of Tallapoosa, GA entered his Heavenly home on January 15, 2026. He was born July 5, 1949 in Villa Rica, GA to the late Harvey Willard Pike and Eula Mae Pike Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Leo Evans; son, Scotty Pike; sisters, Elizabeth Ann Key and Midgee White; and sister in law, Treasa Pike.

As a young man, George loved to play ball and he was always an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He was a people person, who truly enjoyed helping others. He was a hard worker and could always be found whistling a tune as he happily provided for his family. He loved his family dearly and loved traveling with them to the mountains. His family will fondly remember him asking, "When are we going up yonder?"

Bro. Pike was called to preach over 42 years ago and served the Lord faithfully at Mountain Creek Baptist Church, Friendship Baptist Church, Muscadine Baptist Church, Bethlehem Baptist Church, and lastly Five Points Baptist Church. He was a current member at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Tallapoosa.

He is survived by his beloved wife of over 54 years, Ann Bentley Pike; sons, Chad Pike and Derek Pike, all of Tallapoosa; grandchildren, Cody, Kaley, Kaleb, Colby, Corey, Anslee, and Jacob; great grandchildren, Kingston, Kadence and 2 other great grandsons; brother, Bro. Wayne Pike, of Muscadine, AL; daughter in law, Tracy Pike, of Rockmart, GA; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 2:00PM in the Miller Funeral Home Dogwood Chapel with Bro. Wayne Pike and Bro. Kevin Turley officiating. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Derek Pike, Chad Pike, Kaleb Pike, Kerry Pike, John Lockhart, and Earl Pike. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Spradlin and James Smith. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Shane Leggett officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00PM.
