Brod Gregson Muse, age 58, Sunrise December 6, 1965 and Sunset July 10, 2024.
Brod was a graduate of Rayen High School. In 1987, he enlisted into the United States Air Force where he worked as a Financial Service Specialist. After the Air Force, he eventually moved back to Columbus, Ohio where he worked for the State of Ohio in Worker’s Compensation for 16 ½ years.
During this time, he took his love for basketball and started throwing showcases to help high school players get recognized by college coaches to possibly get scholarships to school. In 2010, Brod started Starbound and put on tournaments for kids of all ages and it was a huge success. People looked forward to when the events came to town.
Brod is preceded in death by his grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles and his beloved mother, Donna Shaheed.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sonia Muse; children, Kamil and Kamal Muse, Tarik (Tahlia) Muse and Shaena Harris; his father, Na’eem Shaheed; ; aunts, Sandra Page, Alma (Sal) Mustafa, and Dena Mabry; in-laws, Michael (Gail) Pickett, Rebecca (Donnie Christian, Michael Powell and Arie Powell; sister, Ronna (Dwight) Nolan; 5 grandchildren, Lyric, Legend, Kendrick, Lelania, and TJ; sister/brother/cousins, Anika (Ronnie) Easter, Branndon Page, Dion (Sherry) Tolbert and Charles Boatwright; niece, Nia Nolan; nephew, Jared (LeAnda) Nolan and a host of cousins and close friends.
