Broderick Scales Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gardner’s Funeral Home - Angleton on Oct. 1, 2025.
Broderick Charles Scales, more affectionately called "Duck" by family and friends, was born on May 6, 1967, to Charley Dawson and Lena Scales.
Broderick confessed Christ at an early age. He was a member of Bible Way Outreach Ministries Church, where he served faithfully as a Doorkeeper.
God blessed him to father two girls. They were his greatest joy. He was a hard worker and his personality allowed him to never meet a stranger. He enjoyed being with his family, playing darts and was a diehard Houston Texan fan. Broderick had a friendship circle that included his church family, and Lube N Tube where he was employed for many years. He was loved and adored by his co-workers developing friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Broderick was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry, Dennis, and John.
He would like to let you know that his work here is done. On August 2, 2025; he received a call, a sort of an offer you can't refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. Job security is exactly 110 percent. His new mission takes him to a wonderful place where he will be watching television, talking, and eating with family. Laughter and love are guaranteed. The food is delicious and you never gain an ounce.
Broderick, leaves to mourn his passing, his beloved daughters, Ashlyn and Jennifer Scales; his sisters, Theresa, Charlotte, LaShondra and Ubanda; his nieces and nephews, his special nephew Chris; godson Aiden.
