"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." – Matthew 5:8
Brook Marie Payne, 55, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024. Born on June 26, 1969, in Alma, Nebraska, to Margie and Roy Payne. She lived most of her life in Ansley and Broken Bow, Nebraska before moving to Colorado to be closer to her family. Brook was a beloved member of her family, known for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.
Brook was preceded in death by her father, Roy. She is survived by her loving mother, Margie; her brothers, Mike and Flint; and her sisters, Tracy (Dallas), Melody, Bambi, Summer (Dan), and Tuesday. She was also a cherished aunt to several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and two great-great nieces.
Brook enjoyed her vast collection of stuffed animals, baby dolls and bucket hats. She loved to spend time with her family, delighting in the joyful activity of all the children around her, always offering a warm laugh or a kind gesture. Her resilience and strength in her life inspired those around her, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery (102 Telluride St, Brighton CO) on October 19, 2024, at 10:30 AM. Flowers may be sent ahead in care of Tabor Funeral Home or brought to the site. A luncheon for all who wish to attend will follow at Discovery Christian Church (2605 W 144th Ave, Broomfield) starting at 12.
Brook's warmth, fierce hugs, and megawatt smile will be remembered always. May she rest in peace.
