February 23, 1943 — December 24, 2025
Brooke Herbert Chase, a beloved father, husband, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025. He was born on February 23, 1943, in Ogden, Utah, the eldest of five children born to Lillie May Jackson and Eugene Herbert Chase. Brooke was raised in Ogden, where he developed a lifelong appreciation for the mountains and the outdoors.
From an early age, Brooke developed a strong interest in automobiles, with his prized possession being a Dodge Viper. His true passions, however, were snowmobiling and dirt biking, pursuits in which he excelled by navigating the most challenging terrain with remarkable skill and composure, though they occasionally led to misadventure. Most importantly, through his love of motor sports, Brooke formed many lifelong friendships.
Brooke is survived by his wife, Donna; his daughter, Tamera, and her husband, Mark Faas; his siblings, Jill (Paul) Klatt, Dana (Lynn) Wood, Dale (Karen) Chase, and Ladd (Donnel) Chase; and his stepdaughters, Pam (Scott) Field and Pat Haggard, widow of the late Chris Haggard. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Kim Ratushniak.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 18, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Oakridge Country Club, 1492 W. Shepard Lane, Farmington, Utah.
