VIENNA, Ill. - Lelia Magdalene "Lee" Anderson, 92, Vienna, passed away peacefully at 2:20 a.m. Friday morning, Sept. 26, 2025, at her home.
Lee, as she was known to family and friends, was born Oct. 25, 1932, in Murray, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Rev. Henry S. White and Ethel (Puckett) White.
On Dec. 30, 1950, Lee was united in marriage to Thomas Len "Tom" Anderson in Corinth, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on May 19, 2024.
Lee is survived by her son, DeWayne (Kathy) Anderson of Vienna; two granddaughters, Tammy (Jason) Smith and Emmalee (Jake) McPheron; four great grandchildren Breanna, Jasey, Micaiah, Ellieana; sister, Martha Alford of Paducah; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lee was preceded in death by a son, Terry Len Anderson; and three brothers - James Henry White, Jr., Billy Gene White, and Charles Dale White.
Lee was the former owner and operator of Lee's Fashion World, a retail clothing apparel store, with locations in Vienna and Marion. She is remembered for her strong work ethic and her dedication to her business and clients.
Lee had been involved in a number of fraternal organizations, through the years, including Egyptian Chapter #30 Order of the Eastern Star and Valley #108 White Shrine of Jerusalem. She was also a member of the Vienna Women's Club.
Lee cherished spending time with her beloved family, as well as entertaining friends in her home.
Lee was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vienna.
A graveside service honoring the life of Lee Anderson will be conducted at noon Tuesday, Sept. 30, at Newton Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 12800 Ogden Landing Road, Kevil. Jake McPheron will officiate.
There will be no public visitation. Those attending the service are invited to gather at the cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025.
