It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Anderson, age 72, of Krotz Springs on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at his residence in Krotz Springs surrounded by his family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Bruce will forever be remembered for his vibrant personality and diverse interests. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served his country. He found joy in various activities such as visiting local casinos, spending time with family and friends, tending to his garden with care, and working on his beloved truck. His love for cooking delighted many, and his fondness for country and western music brought smiles to those around him. Bruce's talent extended to playing the guitar that resonated with all who had the pleasure of listening.
One of Bruce's greatest passions was riding his motorcycle. His loyal companion, Blue, his dog, was a constant source of companionship in his life.
He is survived by his sons, Samuel James Anderson and wife, Stephanie of Maurice; and William Harold Anderson of Prairie Ronde; his daughters, Erica Lynn Desormeaux and husband, Willie "Bud" of Prairie Ronde; and Angela Hope Lanclos and husband, Jamie of Arnaudville; his daughter-in-law, Elif Anderson of Turkey; brothers-in-law, Robert Sylvester and wife, Cathy of Port Barre; and Kenneth "Kenny" Sylvester of Eunice; sisters-in-law, Sandra Doga of Opelousas; and Debbie Richard of Eunice; and his sister, Yvonne Artall and husband, Ralph of Melville. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
