Bruce Howard Beatty, aged 82, passed away on March 24, 2025. He was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Bruce was born on April 18, 1942, in Creston, lowa , where he spent his formative years. He went on to attend the University of lowa and later became a welder inspector at Northern Natural. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others. But more than anything, Bruce was a devoted father and husband. He loved spending time with his children, sharing stories, teaching them how to fish, and how to change car tires. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced. In his free time, Bruce enjoyed working on his HAM radios, carpentry, and fishing. Bruce also relished in his time with his wife, traveling by camper and boat across the great United States. He was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others. He was an active member of his community and a contributing member of society. He served his country while in the Navy during the Vietnam war and was also a volunteer EMT for Neola, IA for 30 years. Lastly, Bruce was a man of God, often volunteering his time working within the Faith Community Bible Church in Neola, lowa. He knew that in Jesus, his Lord and Savior, he could find strength, happiness, and peace. He dedicated his life to Him until the end of his time on Earth and is reunited with God in heaven.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents: Howard & Lucile Beatty.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Beatty, his children: Brenda (Bart) Jones and Valerie (Steve) Hilz, his grandchildren: Alexandra & Eric, Conor & Julia, and a sister: Jeanie (Gene) Holmes.
His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden, Iowa on Friday, March 28, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Faith Community Bible Church - Neola, lowa.
