Bruce E. Bush

Bruce E. Bush, Sr., Age 75, of Southport, passed away at home on Sunday, January 12, 2025. Bruce was born in Elmira, NY on February 28, 1949 son of the late, Curtis and Hazel (Coyle) Bush. He was married to Linda M. (Williams) Bush who survives. Prior to his illness Bruce was employed last at Advance Auto having worked many years in various sales positions in the Elmira area.
In his spare time, he enjoyed casino trips and previously raced stock cars at the Chemung Speedrome, Granville Raceway, Dunn Hill Speedway and also at Woodhull Raceway. Bruce also enjoyed Monday Night Wrestling and the most precious things in life that included his loving family, grandchildren and many friends.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife Linda M. Bush, children; Timothy Bush, Joseph Bush, Crystal Stethers, Ryan (Courtney) Sullivan, Tara Bush, Nikie (Jason) Dunham, Derek (Stephanie) Bush, Robin (Joby) Prior, LouAnn (Martin) Gobea, Shawn (Kristina) Hovencamp, Brian (Angela) Hovencamp, Patrick (Justine) Hovencamp, Shannon (Jeffrey) Baugher, sisters-in-law; Janice Keaton, Barbara Delbridge, Candi Blaha, brother-in-law; Ward (Sally) Williams, along with many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close friend, Chuck Heasley.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents, his son; Bruce Bush Jr., brothers; Curtis (Wayne) Bush, Daniel Bush, Raymond Vancise, a sister; Sandra (Bush) Kreidler, brothers-in-law; James Kreidler, James Williams, Richard Keaton, Daniel Delbridge.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY 14904. Bruce's funeral service will be held there at 2:00 PM.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Fitzsimmons Cemetery, Southport, NY.
