Bruce Cameron, beloved father, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on March 15, 1958, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Bruce was the son of Wallace B. and Afton Blaire Cameron.
He was raised in Magna, Utah, where his parents instilled in him a love for the outdoors. Hunting and camping became a passion for him that would last his entire life. After graduating from Cyprus High School. Bruce briefly attended Salt Lake Community College before eventually finding a career as a long-haul trucker — a career that suited his independent spirit and love for being in wide open spaces. Over the years, he logged countless miles across the country, always carrying with him a quiet strength, a dry wit, and a deep sense of responsibility. That sense of responsibility would lead to him leaving his career and returning to his childhood home to care for his mother, who he loved and admired.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Guy Cameron. He is survived by his devoted daughter Sonia, his nieces Andi, Kim, and Sam, and his nephew Chad, all of whom will remember him for his warmth, his stories, and his steady presence.
Those who knew Bruce will remember a man who lived simply but fully — someone who found meaning in the journey and valued family above all else. He will be dearly missed.
