James "Jim" D. Cameron, 86, passed away on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at Essentia St. Mary's Medical Center.

Jim was born July 23, 1939, to Margaret (Giles) and Asa Cameron in Eveleth, MN. He graduated from high school and enlisted in the Marine Corps, serving from 1957- 1960. Jim married Gayle Miller and they were blessed with James and Yvonne

Jim was employed primarily as a welder, working around the Duluth-Superior area for many years and finished his working career driving a shuttle for Parkland Mental Health Facility.

He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, bird watching and roller skating. Jim was a Wednesday regular at World of Wheels. He cherished spending time with his family and listening to music.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Gayle, and his siblings.

Jim is survived by his children, James (Vicki) Cameron and Yvonne (Mickey) Ericksen; his grandchildren, Kevin, Brenda, Jacob, and Ashley; his great grandchildren, Kieran and Eleanor; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N. 34th St. Superior, WI., with Pastor John Fleming officiating. Military Honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435.

Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Superior, WI.
