Bruce Clark Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Campbell Funeral Chapel - Trenton on Feb. 10, 2026.
Bruce A. Clark, 59, a beloved fiancé, father, son, grandfather, cousin, uncle, nephew, and friend, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, while visiting his hometown of Trenton, New Jersey.

Bruce-affectionately known as "Brucie"-was born on June 9, 1966, in Trenton to Louise Clark and Clive McKnight. He attended Sacred Heart School, McCorristin High School, and graduated from Morrisville High School (PA), where he excelled in basketball. He also proudly played with the Caldwater Park Basketball Team, a team he loved dearly.

No matter where life took him, Trenton was always home. He often said, "East Trenton taught me what I know," a phrase that reflected his deep love, pride, and loyalty to his roots and his East Trenton family.

Bruce was a long-time resident of Trenton before relocating 11 years ago to Morrisville, North Carolina, with his fiancée, Jenelle Piercy. A man of strong faith, Bruce was raised in the church at Bible Way, where he joyfully served in any way he could-from cooking to cleaning. Throughout his life, wherever he lived, Bruce always found a church to call home.

Music was one of Bruce's greatest passions. From beating a tambourine in his early years to later stepping into the world of DJing-known to many as DJ B-Ski-music was central to his joy. A proud, self-proclaimed "House Head," Bruce attended countless music events, sharing his love of sound, rhythm, and community with everyone around him.

Bruce was also well known for his love of cooking. He took great pride in the kitchen, often selling food to others, and dreamed of one day owning his own food truck-where he planned to serve his famous pork roll sandwiches.

Bruce was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bishop William A. Clark, Sr. and Mother Estelle Clark, and Darlene McKnight, whom he affectionately called "Mom."

He leaves to cherish his memory his fiancée, Jenelle Piercy; his loving mother, Louise Clark; his father, Clive McKnight; his devoted children, Passion Davis (Anrea Darby), Chenelle Carpenter (Josh) and Bruce Clark. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Reign Blake and Bryson Clark. Bruce is also survived by his brother, Louis McKnight, and sisters, Shelly and Tracey McKnight; uncles, David Clark and Daniel (Lynette) Clark; his favorite aunt, Janeice Clark; nieces, Jasmine McKnight, Briana Coleman, and Ziara Johnson; nephews, Nathaniel McKnight; great-nieces, India and Shani McKnight; great-nephew, Amari McKnight; special cousins, Marla Beckett, Tangela Hunter, Kile Stewart, and Abdul Qahir; his best friend, Dino Lockhart; his travel and DJ partner, John Cloyd; and a host of cousins, family members, and dear friends whom he loved deeply.

Bruce will be remembered for his faith, his love of music and cooking, his laughter and jokes, and-most of all-the way he made people feel seen, welcomed, and loved wherever he went. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in all who knew and loved him.

"Family and friends, don't cry too long for me. I lived my life and I gave it my all.

It was just my time to say farewell."

I have known Bruce Clark since September 1980, when we were Freshman at McCorristin Catholic High School. He was a gifted basketball player. I pray God comfort his family in Jesus Christ Our Lord And Savior's Name. Christopher H. McLeod
