Bruce Brannon Culpepper Jr., 69, of Port St. Joe, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born May 12, 1956, Bruce was known for his kindness, generosity, gentle spirit, sense of humor, and strong faith in God. He found joy in spending time with family, the outdoors, playing golf, going on walks, the ocean, music, and sports, and was a devoted fan of Florida State and Alabama football.

Bruce graduated from Troy State University with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Bruce devoted his career to advancing Information Technology in Florida, where he played a key role in improving healthcare interoperability and access to electronic health records. He was widely respected for his expertise, patience, and collaborative leadership.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Culpepper; daughters Allison Culpepper and Lindsay Morrell; step-children Patrick Jones (Margaret), Christopher Jones (Kelsey), and Brandon Jones (Haley); sisters Jeannie Garrett (Gary), Lisa Culpepper, and Cathy Culpepper; ten grandchildren; and his cousin and best friend, Steven Medley (Danette). He was preceded in death by his parents Bruce Brannon Culpepper Sr. And Betty Joyce Blanton Culpepper and his sister, Lori Culpepper.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity in his memory.
