Bruce Edwards

Bruce Edwards, 73, of Knoxville, Tennessee went home to be with Jesus on Friday September 19th, 2025. Bruce was a life-long follower of Jesus Christ and lived out his faith in service to his family and friends. He took joy in discovering the stories of those he met, often offering encouragement and support. Bruce was an accomplished professional skydiver, loved flight simulators, all things aviation, and the vast beauty of God’s creation. He also loved his steel-tip dart leagues, cooking, and The Pancake Militia.

He is preceded in death by his son Brian, parents Roy and Juanette, brother Greg, and nephew Jeremy. He is survived by his wife Kathi of 43 years; son Linds and daughter by marriage Ashley; grand-dog Maverick and beloved dogs Ollie and Bonnie; brother Jeff, his wife Joy, and their daughters Jessica Fleener (Jason) and Melissa Betts (Keith); and niece Tosha Brimage (Brownie).

The Edwards family would like to thank the Parkwest nursing staff, and a very special thank you to travel nurse Lynn Ann B.

Celebration of life will be held on October 5th at First Baptist Concord Chapel with Steve Peek officiating. Family will receive friends at 2pm followed by the service at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sonshine Ministry at First Baptist Concord.
