Bruce Hammond Obituary
Bruce passed away August 6, 2024, in Chattanooga, TN at the age of 70. Born July 16, 1954, in Weymouth, MA he was preceded in death by both his parents, William & Ruth Hammond.
Bruce's legacy will live on in the heart of his loving Wife of 38 years, Penelope. Also, 3 of his children Elizabeth (Dustin) Frye of Lafolette, TN; Maggie Hammond and Jessica McDonald, both of Cleveland, TN. Son, Shane Hammond, had also preceded him in death.
He was employed at Newman's Mobile Home as their Parts Manager 14 years prior to retirement in 2008.
Best known for his elaborate Christmas light displays, Bruce enjoyed planning throughout the year. He and Penelope had multiple antique booths and loved making the search for inventory a family affair. Also known as the neighborhood handyman, Bruce was always quick to offer help when called upon.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations made in Bruce's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
