Bruce Ivor Jackson Jr. “Pawpaw” of Gulfport, Mississippi, was born on September 2,1939 passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on July 5th, 2025.
Bruce was proceeded in death by his devoted wife of 49 years, Mildred Jackson; his parents, Bruce Jackson Sr. and Audrey Jackson; and his siblings, Edwin Jackson and Elaine Purvis.
Bruce will be remembered by his children, Alan (Emily), Lorrie (David), Michael (Robin), Lee, Tracy, Toni (Bruce), Heather, Robert (Ashley), and Bruce ”BJ” (Margaret); his brothers, Emmett "Pete" Jackson (Barbara) and James "Willie" Jackson (Brenda); his sister, Joyce Evers (Terry); and his beloved dog, CJ. He will also be remembered by his 30 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Bruce loved the lord and always put him first. He was a devoted deacon at his church. He loved his wife, and his children and grandchildren were his life. He was our rock and family advisor for everything in life. He will be greatly missed by all of his family. We are missing another piece of our heart.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Bel Aire Baptist Church, 15080 Dedeaux Road, Gulfport. Friends may visit one-hour prior to service. There will be a committal service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Jackson family.
