Bruce G. Low Sr

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Gordon Low Sr., at the age of 68, on Saturday, November 30, a complex man who touched many lives with his strength, crude humor, and unwavering love towards family. Born and raised in Millville, NJ, to Kenneth and Josephine (née Lombardo), Bruce was a complicated man whose life was a testament to hard work, deep love, and how to endure a life filled with struggle.
In Bruce's early years he had a love of motorcycles, mechanics, and partying with his best friends, Larry Stretch, Floyd Cramer, and Francis "Binky" Warfle. Bruce graduated from Millville Senior High School with the Class of 1975. He then went on to working for his, Uncle, Herb Apel, at Vineland White Trucking and became the premier Diesel Mechanic in all of South Jersey. His skills led to him opening his own shop, Dynamic Diesel Repair. He later went on to start a career in the roofing business, with his partner, Tony Stretch, where they founded T&B Roofing. His final career choice, Bruce's Creative Landscaping, led to be his favorite and most successful. Bruce employed his sons, nephews, friends, and any neighborhood kid who showed the ambition to work. He touched a lot of lives through his business. Bruce was a master of architectural landscape, loved to build custom fish ponds, and excelled at total yard transformations. No matter what he did, Bruce always poured himself into it.
At the center of Bruce's life was his 50-year love story with Terri (née Ruberti). Bruce often joked, I was coming home from the hospital, while she was coming in. They were born just 5 days apart in the same hospital. They first laid eyes on each other during their freshman year while at the Menantico Ponds. Bruce was riding his motorcycle and Terri was riding her horse. They only shared a glance. Bruce told his best friend, Larry: "I'm gonna marry that girl one day." They finally had their first on November 3rd, 1974, and were married November 18, 1978. Their marriage was a beacon of devotion, partnership, constant strife, and a deep love for one another that allowed them to overcome any obstacle. They were inseparable for 50 years. Their found pride and joy in creating a family that became the cornerstone of his legacy.
Bruce passed his hard work habits and entrepreneurial skills onto his sons. Bruce was the poster child on raising a family through "tough-love". He was a very direct man, with no filter or tolerance for nonsense. One never had to wonder what was on his mind because he certainly told you (in no uncertain terms). Bruce began to lose his edge and get "soft" in his later years. He enjoyed fishing trips and splitting wood with his Grandson, Bryce. He loved to play dress up and make goofy videos with his Granddaughter, Gabreana and her children. Bruce was always the center of attention at any gathering, and was sure to deliver up loads of laughs with his many antics. He loved flirting with all the women, and making dirty jokes. He had a memory that was second to none. Bruce always enjoyed telling all sorts of stories from his early days with his cousins in NY, to his wild days in the bars, where his nickname was "Bulldozer." In the end, Bruce made his peace with God, and found comfort in driving around his vast property in his little red truck, with his big bottle of vodka. One can say many things about Bruce, but a well-known fact about him was his life-long love affair with alcohol. When it was all said and done, he did things his way. He went out with a final toast, sitting up, resting peacefully.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Terri; his children, Bruce Low Jr. (Corinne), and Joseph Low; his grandchildren, Gabreana Hart (Roosevelt), Bryce Low, Chase Low, Lola Low, Avery Low, and Jada Low; and his great-grandchildren, Roosevelt Hart V, Nova Hart, and Rumani Hart; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Bruce is predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Josephine (Lombardo) Low; brothers Kenneth (Delores) and Marshall (Marie) Low; and sisters Beverly (Herb) Apel and Linda (Emroe) Headley.

A funeral home visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 10am to 11am followed by a memorial service at 11am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Final disposition will be at the convenience for the family.
