Bruce Mial Mason

Bruce M Mason, Age 83 of Minnetonka, passed away February 13, 2026. Born in Minneapolis, Bruce graduated from Washburn HS, graduated in Electrical Engineering from U of MN and received his Masters in Counseling from UMKC. Bruce's life was one dedicated in service to his family, his country and his Lord, Jesus Christ. After serving in the Navy on the USS Rowan, he worked at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, IA as a Design Engineer. Bruce later was a mentor and leader through Christian Service Brigade for 23 years and served as the Camp Director at Hidden Lake Brigade Camp in Iowa and then at Camp Nathanael in northern Minnesota. Bruce liked to work with his hands and always could find a project to help others on. Preceded in death by his parents, Mial and Ruth Mason, and one brother, Doug Mason. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Bruce is survived by wife of 55 years, Peg; daughter Tracy (Neil) Thatcher; son Matt (Sara) Mason; grandchildren Nate Thatcher, Avery Mason, Charlie Mason, Mason Thatcher, and Taylor Thatcher; brother Kent (Bonnie) Mason and sister-in-law Cheryl Mason; plus many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday Feb 23 at 11am at Park Community Church, 6805 Minnetonka Blvd, St Louis Park, with viewing at 10am. An additional visitation will be on Sunday Feb 22 from 4-6pm at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home in Hopkins. Military burial will be at Ft Snelling. Donations can be made to family and Camp Nathanael.
