My brother, Mike Rische and Bruce were more like brothers than 1st cousins. Mike was career Army and Bruce was career Navy, so duty stations were never close to each other, and "hanging out" together opportunities were few and far between. On a rare visit to see Bruce´s Uncle Roy (Mike´s Dad) in Corpus Christi we decided to take a boat out in the bay. Of course Bruce, a Navy Chief felt it was a no brainer to have him be "skipper." He was flying through the water when suddenly the boat came to a sudden stop, and we were jolted back and forth. He hit the only sandbar in the area. The look on his face was priceless...Mike and I had to give the Navy guy a hard time the rest of the day. We had the best time together. A true memory that will last forever. Love ya, Bruce.
