Bruce Ray "DJ Slatts" Spath, aged 73, of Scribner, Neb., lost his brave battle with cancer on April 5, 2025, surrounded by music and the love of his children.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont from 3 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 10th, at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials can be directed to the family.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.I will remember Bruce as a truly good man. Always pleasantly talking with him,and our love of music! I enjoyed quite a few years at Gifford,going to hear his music & DJ & having such fun. I´m sorry for your loss. I will mourn him for quite some time. But I respected him as one in a billion men that wasn´t a horror story in my life. Rest In Paradise Bruce. You deserve it!! I had cancer myself,and I had been finishing up my treatment,when he told me about his cancer. It´s taking too many of us,and so hard on us that are/were fighting this. My life has been in misery 4 54 years,but cancer couldn´t come close to my terrible life. He always talked with me about things,and for that,I know he better be dancing with his loved ones. Rest Easy my good friend! I just got this shared to me,so I´m so sad I missed his service. My apologies for your hearts pain. I wish you well in ...
