Bruce Watts Obituary

Bruce Irving Watts, age 73, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022. Born at Fort Lee in Prince George, VA on May 10, 1949, he was the son of the late Julius Irving Watts and Lucy Mae Gaynor Watts. Bruce came from a predominant military family and was a descendant of six Mayflower passengers. He loved all different kinds of sports, such as, 10 pin bowling, softball, football, hockey, and wrestling. Bruce was a fan of everything Civil War. He enjoyed collecting coins, watching western movies, and going camping. Bruce was a member of many different organizations which included, Boy Scouts of America - Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Explorers, Handicapped Athletic Program - Anne Arundel County, MD, Opportunity Builders, Inc. - Maryland, and Civitan Friendship Club - Sargent at Arms. His favorite sayings were "I'm Fine" and "It'll be alright." He was a loving son, brother, and friend and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him, but his loving spirit will never be forgotten as he was everything to his family. Bruce is survived by his sisters, Karen L. Lineberger and husband, Richard A. MacSaveny, and Patricia M. Wright and husband, Michael J.; his brother, Donald E. Watts and wife, Deborah A.; his aunt, Dorothy P. Stickles; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be private.
