Bruce Wires Obituary

DOUGLAS - Bruce C. Wires, 74, passed away on Fri. August 12, 2022 in Boston after a courageous 5-year battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Donna M. Hadley-Wires.

Born in Chelsea on Feb. 21, 1948 he was son of the late Leroy and Reba (Campbell) Wires and grew up in Newton. Bruce was a graduate of Newton High School and went on to serve his country in the U.S Navy, during the Vietnam Era. Bruce was employed as a Diesel Mechanic working for the Newton Fire Department for 25 years. He also worked for Pepsi Cola in Canton for many years before his retirement in 2012.

Bruce and I go back to high school days. We grew up together and later worked together at the Newton Fire Department. He was just a fun loving guy both growing up and at the fire department. Enjoyed his friendship, humor and loyalty. Great man.
