Kennesaw, Georgia - Bruce Anthony Wood, 63, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on April 17, 2023. He was born in Macon, Georgia, and was the son of the late Charles Hilton Wood, Sr., and Aurelia Pat Parramore Wood. Bruce received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the J.M.Tull School of Accounting at the University of Georgia where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and a big brother of Pi Beta Phi sorority. After graduation, Bruce became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and went to work as an auditor for Days Inn Hotels, then as an auditor for Coca-Cola Bottling Company, and finally spent the remainder of his working years as a Regional Sales Manager at Peninsular Cylinder Company. Bruce loved the Atlanta Falcons, the Atlanta Braves, but especially loved his Georgia Bulldogs! He is survived by his brother, Charles Hilton Wood, Jr., (Mary); his sister, Joy Wood Darley (Bryan); one niece, Noelle Wood Chast (Craig); three nephews; Hilton Wood (Karli), Beau Darley (Nikki), and Chad Darley (Danielle). He is survived by his two children; Chelsea, and Robert; along with numerous cousins and close friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 5th, 2023 at 11:30 AM in the chapel at the First United Methodist Church of Marietta (56 Whitlock Avenue, NW 30064). Visitation and refreshments will take place after the service. In lieu of flowers, please make any memorial contributions in memory of Bruce Wood to the University of Georgia Foundation, the First United Methodist Church of Marietta, or a local charity of your choice.
