Also surviving are many nieces and nephews, and his close cousin, Michele "Buffi" Dempsey. He was preceded in death by a brother, S. Michael Groff and his step-father, Dale Dissinger.

A Funeral Service will take place at Little Britain Presbyterian Church, 255 Little Britain Church Rd., Peach Bottom, PA on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Blake Deibler officiating.
