Bryan Mesimer Obituary

Bryan K. Mesimer

May 13, 1959 - December 22, 2025

Murrells Inlet, South Carolina - Mr. Bryan K. Mesimer, age 66, passed away peacefully the evening of Monday December 22, 2025.

Born May 13, 1959 in Santa Ana, CA, he was the son of the late John Wiley Mesimer and Martha Dysart Mesimer Perdue. Mr. Mesimer was a member of First United Methodist Church in Conway and was the former owner and operator of Paving Services, Inc.

Along with his parents, Mr. Mesimer was predeceased by his precious wife of 24 years, Jennifer Turner Mesimer; his step-father, Ed Perdue; mother-in-law, Amy Turner; step-sister, Jane Perdue; and a nephew, Bradley Reavis.

Surviving are his son, Bryan Keith Mesimer, Jr. (Kristee Marie Mesimer) of Murrells Inlet; his daughter, Jennifer Brynne Mesimer of Murrells Inlet; a granddaughter, Turner Raine Mesimer; his granddogs, Rowen and Marshmellow; father-in-law, Ben Turner (Karen Turner); two brothers, Marty Mesimer (Beverly Mesimer) of Myrtle Beach and John Mesimer of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Kimberly Mesimer Cherry (John Cherry) of Conway; two sisters-in-law, Mary Tanner (Darren Tanner) of Conway and Wendye Turner Louis of Murrells Inlet; a brother-in-law, Benjamin Turner of Conway; a godchild, Morgan Bridgman of Atlanta, GA; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Bryan, often known for a pleather of nicknames, Big Time, Spanky, Brains, and Coach too many, a stranger to none, but nothing quite fit like Dad. Bryan lived a vivacious life, one filled with laughs, family, and friends. If he wasn't on a paving machine, you could easily find him on a baseball field or your nearest basketball court, coaching his son or even living out those last few glory days; he quietly traded the red clay filled shoes, for the stage dad life, when his "Daddy's Girl" came along, running to make sure the lost tap shoe wasn't left at home, or that if needed, he was warmed up and ready for his solo. Bryan's love for his children was unwavering, which was easily witnessed through the commitment and love he poured into them.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Monday, December 29, 2025 at First United Methodist Church in Conway with Rev. Isaac Dusenbury officiating. Burial will follow Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church.
