Bryan Meyers Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cremation Society of Minnesota (First Memorial Funeral Chapel) - Duluth on Feb. 12, 2025.
Obituary of Bryan Meyers
Bryan David Meyers, 68, of Duluth passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 5, 2025.
Bryan was born September 30, 1956 in Deer River, Minnesota to Mary Ellen Meyers. He graduated from Virginia High School, where he met his late wife Renee Roberta Meyers (Roy). Bryan and Renee had two wonderful sons, Aaron and Ethan.
Bryan attended University of Minnesota Duluth before going on to graduate from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1982. He spent his career as a general and trauma surgeon at St. Luke's Hospital as well as starting his own private practice in Duluth. Bryan helped so many patients and families in his over 40 year career and always provided a special care and attention to each person.
Bryan married his wife Connie Constantine in 2020 at their home in Duluth. They shared many wonderful trips together, including an African safari to see his favorite animal the elephant, swimming with turtles in the Galapagos, and tasting port in Portugal. Many memories were spent at their home on Island Lake with their family, friends, and two pups.
Bryan was an avid fisherman and could tell you countless fish tales (often with his brother) from around the world. One of his favorite places in the world was Island Lake, where he could be found on his pontoon boat, slowly cruising and taking in the natural beauty. Bryan was also a member of the Bocce Group, a group of friends (Ken and Mary, Scott and Karen, George and Connie, Bruce and Becki, Erin, and Connie) who get together for dinners, holidays, birthdays and, occasionally, to play bocce ball. He captivated every room with stories of his travels and people he met along the way. Bryan never met someone he didn't like and thought time was best spent with a quality glass of whiskey or wine, good company, and great stories.
Bryan is survived by his wife, Connie Constantine; children, Aaron (fiancée Alison) Meyers and Ethan Meyers; stepdaughter Sara (Joshua) Sloan; brothers Bruce (Becki) Meyers and Bradley Meyers; niece Sarah Meyers; and his golden doodles Xena and Juno. He was preceded in death by his first wife Renee Meyers (d. 2017) and mother Mary Ellen Meyers (d. 2010).
You can honor Bryan by sharing stories of his life over a glass of whiskey or around a campfire.
