Judith Marcelle Baumgartner

Judith Marcelle Baumgartner passed away peacefully at age 83 on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Evergreen Knoll.

She was born on October 7, 1942, to Percy & Alice Erickson in Breckenridge, Minnesota. After graduating from High School in 1960, she married her beloved husband Duane and moved to Duluth, MN, where they raised their six children.

Judy was best known for her welcoming, selfless and generous heart. She lived every day of her life with courage and grace and never complained even in the hardest of times. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family and grandchildren whom she loved fiercely. She had a love for music, dancing, occasional yard sales and watching her favorite Hallmark movies. She also enjoyed bartending at the family bar on the North Shore. In the early years she was a homemaker, then later worked multiple jobs in the hospitality industry.

She was preceded in death by infant son Joseph; husband Duane; her parents, Percy and Alice, and brothers Jim, Bob & Mark.

Judy is survived by her children, Chris Baumgartner, Pam (Jocko) Fairchild, Patty (Bruce) Connor, Jodi (Brad) Anderson, Scott Baumgartner and Jackie (Jeff) McCorison; siblings, Peggy Hedtke, Vickie (Gordy) Thorson, Kathy (Randy) Beeler, and Wendy (Russell) Wheeler; grandchildren, Kristina, Carly, and Ryan (Veda) Connor, Derek (Jennah) Anderson, Abbie (Cade) Kutter, and Alysha Anderson, Kylie and Katie McCorison; great-grandchildren, Zara, Cooper, and Macy; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A memorial service will take place on Sat., March 7, at 5:00 pm with a visitation one hour prior at the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth.
