Bryan Anthony Morris, age 52 of Shawnee, KS, passed away June 16, 2024 in his home. He was born on April 22,1972 in Orlando, Florida, the son of Harley Thomas and Jacque (Collins) Morris. On September 28, 1996 he was united in marriage to Shauna (Sutton) Morris who survives him. He is also survived by two children, Will Morris (Macy), and Cadee Morris; mother, Jacque Morris; grandmother Maxine Thompson; brother Brent Morris (Lisa) and other extended family.
Bryan had a big love and passion for the work he did in the roofing industry. Bryan started in the roofing industry with ABC Supply in Springfield, Missouri in 1999. After a few years Bryan and his family eventually settled down in Shawnee, Kansas in 2007. Bryan then began working for SPEC Building Materials in 2017, where he continued working until February 2023.
In January 2023 Bryan was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). Bryan's diagnosis progressed quickly. Despite how hard Bryan's life became he was always able to stay strong and think positively. He had a long and hard fight with the disease but eventually he went home to be with Jesus. It was comforting to him, knowing Jesus, and that a few relatives would be in Heaven to welcome him with open arms.
There will be a celebration of life held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 29th at First Baptist Basehor, 1410 155th St, Basehor, KS 66007. The following day Sunday June 30th there will be a private burial in Branson, MO.
In lieu of flowers we request that donations are made to the ALS Foundation.
