Yesterday

Bryan was my high school baseball coach and afterwards a colleague of mine in the Cleveland Public Schools. I really got to know him through his TV broadcasting and he was loved by everyone and was a class act. It was a honor to have this man be such a positive influence on my life. I will always remember Bryan because he was such a positive person who treated everyone with respect. Great husband, family man, teacher and coach. My condolences to the Power's family, rest in peace Coach.

Yesterday

I have fond memories of watching the high school football (and basketball) game of the week on WVIZ TV for many years. Bryan Powers unselfishly gave so much of his time as a broadcaster of these contests, along with Mike Massa. Bryan was always a class act, sharing kind words about the players and coaches. It was a pleasure to listen to his commentary. The world is a lesser place without him. My sympathies to his entire family and friends.

Mr Powers always impressed me as the nicest, class guy since I first met him 50+ years ago. He and the Mrs. turned out some great kids though we had our doubts that Rob would amount to much. :-) Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace Amen.
