Bryant “Booder” Edwards, of Bladenboro passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the age of 52. He was born in Robeson County on August 3, 1972, the son of Bryant Edwards and Faye Ward Edwards.
Booder was a loving son, father and friend. Spending time with his family, especially his children, talking with his buddies on the phone and family cookouts are times he loved best. Everyone always looked forward to the laughter and joy that he brought to any occasion. Booder was a hard worker who was passionate about his job and took pride in his welding talent. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish or do anything that kept him outside. Booder has left a legacy of determination, drive, passion and joy in the hearts of all those that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary and Earl Ward, and paternal grandparents, Norden and Mabel Edwards. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved parents, Bryant and Faye Ward Edwards of Bladenboro, son Nicholas Bryant Edwards of Bladenboro, daughter Lena Marie Edwards of Bladenboro, the mother of his children, Heather Edwards, and a dear special friend, Terri Turner.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the Bladen Gaskins Chapel of Bladenboro, 800 N. Main Street, Bladenboro, NC followed by a funeral service at 4: 00 pm with the Reverend David Clewis officiating. The family will hold a private burial. Pallbearers for the service will be Mike Guyton, Troy Rising, Brandon Byrd, Ken Hammond, Ray Hales, and Joey Smith. Honorary Pallbearer will be Gary Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Bethlehem Holiness Church, 670 Sassafras Road, Bladenboro, NC 28320.
