Bryce Goffney Obituary

Bryce Anthony Goffney
August 6, 1993 - April 30, 2023
Carmichael, California - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Bryce Anthony Goffney. His short, but impactful life ended tragically on April 30, 2023. He was only 29 years old. Bryce was lovingly welcomed into the world on August 6, 1993, in Roseville, to Anthony Goffney and Tashana Ogden.
Bryce was an unusually good-natured person and this quality stood out as a defining characteristic for those fortunate enough to know him. He had a heart of gold and anyone who crossed paths with him always felt as if they had just found a long-lost friend. Bryce had an uncanny gift for disarming people, in such a positive way, with poignant questions that penetrated their soul. It was his unique way of letting people know they meant something to him.
Bryce was a 2011 graduate of San Juan High School in Citrus Heights, California where he was captain of the football team, had one of the fastest 100-meter dash times (12.4 seconds) in school history and was also selected as senior ball king. He went on to coach football at his alma mater as the youngest member of their staff.
A profound love of nature was at the core of who Bryce was. He loved to go out and ride his bike and take long walks while listening to his favorite podcasts. He especially enjoyed spending time at the ocean.
The story of Bryce would not be complete without mentioning Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits. He was a valued employee who had just been named one of three national finalists for their Rookie of the Year. Bryce's displays were often recognized for their captivating originality and creativity.
Bryce has joined his beloved Aunt Amanda and his fellow 3 Muskateer partner, D.J. Strobridge, in his new adventure. He will be greatly missed by many friends and family including his parents, Anthony Goffney (Connie Peck) and Tashana Ogden (Jimmie Wilson), his six siblings, Nicole Campos, Kaya Goffney, Akiro Goffney, Sakura Goffney, Elijah Goffney, Ethan Goffney and the love of his life, Taylor Givant.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 p.m. (noon) on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 5325 Engle Road, Carmichael 95608 (La Sierra Community Center-John Smith Hall).

He was always helping others. Even though we weren't close he would check in on me to make sure I was ok. When he's bump into me in public as an adult he would always try to help me with what ever I was doing. I was blessed to have him in my life. Even if it was for little moments.

What a great young man. I am glad I had the pleasure of being a part of his life. He was one of the best football players I have ever coached. He also did a great job of coaching. He will be missed, I am so sorry for your loss,
