Bryson Jo’Mani "Chubby Whubby" Sostand

With hearts full of sorrow and love, the family of Bryson Jo'Mani "Chubby Whubby" Sostand announces his passing on December 25, 2025, in Houston, Texas.

Services are Friday, Jan. 09, 2026, at Proctor's Mortuary 3522 Washington Blvd. Beaumont, TX. Visitation will begin at 9AM until Funeral at 10AM.

Born on January 6, 2025, in Houston, Texas, Bryson's time on earth was brief, yet deeply meaningful to all who knew and cherished him. Though he was just shy of his first birthday, Bryson's life was filled with love, strength, and unforgettable moments.

Affectionately known as Bryceeee, Baked Chicken, Chubby Whubby, and by many other loving nicknames, Bryson was adored by so many. He was lovingly called "Nanny Baby," "Daddy's Chubby Whubby," and "Bryan Jr. Chubba." A proud NICU graduate, Bryson, overcame tremendous odds and was discharged from the NICU on April 17, 2025.

Despite his challenges, Bryson found joy in the simple comforts of life. He loved taking baths, sleeping peacefully, getting rubbed on, especially having his head rubbed and listening to music as background noise. He especially loved being kissed, affectionately described as "harassed" by his devoted dad.

Bryson fought bravely for 11 months with severe H.I.E., and though he conquered many obstacles, God gently called him home on Christmas night.

Bryson was the beloved son of Daisha Bennett and Bryan J. Sostand, Sr., and the cherished younger brother of Bryan J. Sostand, Jr. From the moment he arrived, his presence brought immeasurable joy and light into the lives of his family.

He was preceded in death by his great-parents Bernard and Mary Sostand and Josephine Elzie Sr. Bennett.

Bryson is lovingly remembered by his grandparents Katrina Billups, Walter Batiste, Elzie Jr. and Rose Bennett, and Clarence and Jacquelyn Sostand; his aunts Armani Batiste and Page Sallier; his uncle Clarence and Cerynthia Sostand; great-grandmother Mrs. Beverly Reese; Stanly Richard; Esther Nixon (Felix); and many other family members and loved ones who held him close to their hearts.

Though Bryson's time here was short, his memories will forever remain a source of comfort, love, and strength to all who were blessed to know him.
