Budd McVicker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Family-Funeral & Cremation - Pensacola on Mar. 11, 2026.
Budd William McVicker, 94, of Milton, Florida, passed away peacefully of natural causes on March 9, 2026. Born on November 13, 1931, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Budd lived a full and meaningful life marked by devoted service to his country, a deep love for his family, and a quiet generosity of spirit that touched all who knew him.

Budd proudly served twenty years in the United States Air Force, a career that took him across the globe and shaped the man he would become. During his military service, he was stationed in Libya, France, Puerto Rico, South Korea, and various locations throughout the United States. His dedication to duty and willingness to go wherever his country called him reflected a steadfast character that defined his entire life. Following his honorable military career, Budd carried the same sense of discipline, loyalty, and purpose into every chapter that followed.

Those who knew Budd best remember a man whose heart was generous and whose affections ran deep. He loved his family unconditionally, and that love extended to all animals, whose companionship he treasured throughout his life. Budd was a man of creative talent and varied interests. He enjoyed painting, finding in it a source of expression and fulfillment, and he held a lifelong passion for automobiles that never dimmed with age.

Budd was preceded in death by his parents Franklin and Mary McVicker, his siblings, and his former wife, Lenore Cable. He is survived by his son, Michael McVicker; his daughters, Brenda Ratkus, Janet Lambert, and Judith Helmstetter; and the many lives he touched through his kindness and quiet strength.

A celebration of life will be held for close family and friends at the home of his daughter in Milton, Florida, where Budd lived for the past twenty years surrounded by the love and care of those closest to him.

Budd William McVicker lived with honor, loved with his whole heart, and leaves behind a legacy that his family will carry forward with pride.
