Kris McVicker

Kris McVicker, 51 year old Woodward resident passed away, Wednesday February 4, 2026 at home. Burial will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, February 7, 2026 in the Elmwood Cemetery with a memorial service following at the Ignite Church at 11:00 am with Pastor Kenny White officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Kristina Dawn (Sills) McVicker was born January 19, 1975 to Irvin Sills and Anita Marie (Gregg) Regan in Woodward, Oklahoma. Kris grew up in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School. After high school she attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva where she received her degree in teaching. Kris was united into marriage to John McVicker on July 27, 1996 at the Elm Grove Community Church. The couple made their first home in Alva before settling in Woodward. To this union, Kris and John were blessed with two children, Andrew and Julia.
Kris worked as an Early Childhood Teacher and later became a Special Education Teacher. She often could be found spending time with her friends, being around her pets, going to church and most of all spending time with her husband John and her children. Kris was a member of the Ignite Church. She enjoyed going to church and giving her life to God.
She was preceded in death by her mother Anita Regan, step father Greg Regan and grandmother Judy Gregg.
Kris is survived by her loving husband, John McVicker of the home; her son, Andrew McVicker and wife Abbi; her daughter, Julia McVicker and Braxton Ruppel; her good friend group "The Dandy's"; and many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Special Olympics in honor of Kris with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
