William Cline Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Billings Funeral Home - Woodward on Feb. 4, 2026.
Bill Cline, 81 year old Woodward resident, passed away from this life into the arms of his Savior, Wednesday, February 4, 2026 in Mooreland. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2026 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Donnetta Hunter officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the United States Air Force.
William Allen Cline, Sr. was born on December 6, 1944 at the Northwest Community Hospital in Mooreland, Oklahoma to Noah William and Helen (West) Cline. Bill grew up in Woodward and attended Woodward schools. He graduated from Woodward High School, Class of 1964. Bill was inducted into the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge.
Bill was united in marriage to Deanna M. Highfill on May 26, 1989 in Higgins, Texas. They made their home in Mooreland, Oklahoma, later moving to Woodward to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Throughout life, Bill had various interesting careers. He worked in the oilfield, drove trucks, worked in construction, and did electrical work. When Bill returned to Woodward with Deanna, he worked for the City of Woodward for the Street Department and then retired as Foreman at the Water Department. Of all the hats Bill wore, he loved law enforcement most of all. He found true meaning working as a Deputy for the Las Vegas Sheriff's Department then later on as a reserve officer for the Woodward Police Department and Woodward County Sheriff's Department.
Bill had many hobbies. He loved to golf, camp and water ski. He always enjoyed watching a good OSU football game. Bill also loved to coach sports like football and baseball. He coached his sons and grandsons at Kid's Inc and could most recently be found watching his great-grandchildren playing there as well. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his many dogs. He also enjoyed building model airplanes, model trains, rebuilding Cushman motorcycles and Ford Mustangs. Bill was a Ford Man through and through.
Bill is survived by his son, Steve R. Cline; sons Dale Jones and Mikial Jones; daughter, Tye Kala Mitchell and husband Bob; grandchildren, Venus Caine; Stephanie Maher and husband Seth; Makala Cline and boyfriend Travis Coyer; Mialee Cline and fiance Reid Fenn; Arin Mitchell and fiance Baylie; Chesney Dean and husband Justin; Shelton Mitchell and fiance Michelle; Chandler Mitchell; Rebeka Jones and Joseph Newman; great-grandchildren, Savanah, Garrex, Maddox, Declan and Penelope Maher, Vallen and Vandon Caine, Callen and Presley Murray, River Fenn, Mya Denson; Maleah Mitchell, A.J. Mitchell, Zoey and Presley Wilson, Hydee Dean, and Beaux Denham; Beloved extended family Olivia Delzell and husband Joe, Samantha McReynolds and Eric Brown and wife Megan; special friend, Phyllis Kleuser; other family, classmates and many friends.
