FULTON--Buddy Joe Turner, 80, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at his home. He was born November 2, 1944 to the late J.D. Turner and the late Louella Stanford Turner in Mantachie. Buddy was known for his warm heart, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family. For over 30 years, he owned and operated Turner's Transmission, earning the respect and trust of his community through his dedication and honesty. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, raising chickens, traveling, and spending cherished moments with his loved ones. These simple joys brought him great happiness throughout his life. He was a devoted member of Maple Springs Church of God, where his faith was a guiding light in his life. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday May 17, 2025, at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Winters officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Springs Cemetery. Visitation wil be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday May 17, at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his ife, Sue Turner of Fulton; children, Jeff (Amy) Hill of Fulton, Sonya (Bryan) Martin of Fulton, Darla (Eddie) Scott of Mantachie, Kirby Turner of Mantachie, Donnie (Wendy) Turner of Mantachie, Tammy (Tony) Stanley of Madison, MS, and Renee Tate of Madison, MS; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; uncle, Omer (Linda) South of OK; and a aunt, Magdalene (Larry) Marshall of Verona.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Louella Turner; and 2 brothers, Mack Turner, and Kenneth Turner.
Pallbearers will be Drew Hill, Mac Grimes, Blake Turner, Eddie Scott, Cole Mears, and Austin Johnson.
