Bufford Ray "Pete" Bond

Bufford Ray "Pete" Bond, born on July 15, 1956, in Oakdale, Louisiana, passed away on November 25, 2025, in his hometown. Pete was the beloved son of Bufford Seaborn Bond and Jewel Joyce Stalsby Bond.

Known as a devoted Man of God, Pete brought warmth and laughter to everyone he met. He delighted in early mornings with a cup of coffee and cherished time spent fishing with his five favorite rods. Pete's love for his dogs and rabbits was well known among family and friends. He was a true people person-always ready to talk, lend a helping hand, and stay busy. Mowing was his favorite pastime and a source of pride.

Pete is survived by his daughters, Sylvia Pollard and husband Waylon, and Melinda Milton and husband Jim; grandchildren, Troy Pollard, Sarah Pollard, Emily Milton, Grayson Milton, and Dakota Pollard; great-grandchildren, Raelyn Milton, Blakey and Asher Williams; sisters, Sherry Driver and husband James, and Selena Thompson and husband Donald; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss his kindness and joyful spirit.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Beulah Thomas Bond, and his parents, Bufford and Jewel Bond.

Family will receive friends on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. in the Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, 173 Gospel Lighthouse Road, Oakdale, Louisiana. Reverend Shannon Buxton and Reverend Hardy Estes will be officiating.

Pete's legacy of faith, generosity, and love for life will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
