Buford was raised on the farm in Stockton MO. area. He graduated from Stockton High School in 1959. He later moved to Springfield MO. and retired from the City of Springfield.
Buford has several jobs over the years including work at Brown Derby and getting to know Johnny Morris who he had many adventures with. He also drove for Charlie Wilcox hauling mail to Memphis. He ended his career working as an Animal Control Officer for the City of Springfield. Buford moved back to Stockton in 2022 to be near family and friends.
Buford had 2 children a son Ricky and a daughter Lisa.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Rusty and Thelma Fay, Son Ricky, wife Ada, wife Debbie and his sister Jean. Buford was known for having an immaculate yard with amazing flowers, a perfect garden and clean vehicles.
Graveside services were held in Lindley Prairie Cemetery.
