Kenneth Lee Gregg, 71, of Jerico Springs passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025. He was born September 23, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas to Joe and Betty Gregg. Ken was a beloved father, brother, and grandfather. Ken grew up on air force bases as his father was in the Air Force. As a child, he was able to see different areas of the United States (Texas, Arkansas, Delaware, and Oklahoma) and also lived in Japan. He received his bachelor's degree from Missouri State University in soil science. He worked as a soil scientist for the federal government for 30 yrs.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Ken found one of his greatest joys in the quiet beauty of nature. Whether hiking the rugged trails of the Rocky Mountains, hunting at sunrise, or simply taking in the stillness of the woods, he felt most at home beneath an open sky. His appreciation for the outdoors was something he shared generously, often bringing friends and family along to experience the wonder of God's creation. Above all, He adored his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Their laughter brought him endless pride and happiness, and he cherished every moment spent cheering them on, telling stories, and teaching them about the world. His spirit will forever echo in the mountains he loved, the trails he walked, and the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by a brother, Kelly Gregg, and two sisters, Melondy Vernon and Valerie Leftwich, his children, Michael (Lori) Gregg, Levi (Ann) Gregg, Adam Gregg, and Anna Carpenter and 10 grandchildren. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Betty(Robb) and Joseph Gregg, and his brother Larry Gregg. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025 for family and close friends.
