Burt Gilbert Obituary
Bert Byas Gilbert, age 58 of Carbon Hill passed away on Sunday, December 7th, 2025 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 13th, 2025 at 12pm at Walk of Faith Ministries Fellowship Hall. Small service to follow. Celebration of Life will also be held Saturday, December 13th, 2025 at 6 p.m at his Mother’s residence.
Bert was preceded in death by his father Byas Gilbert Jr. Brothers- Thomas Dale Gilbert and Jimmy Lee Gilbert Sr.
He is survived by his mother- Sally Gilbert; His wife- Tammie Thornton Gilbert; His son- Joe Brandon Thornton; Daughter- Krissie Gilbert; Sister- Elizabeth “Sissy” Hurst (Paul); Brothers- Timmy Gilbert and Johnny Gilbert; A host of nieces, nephews and special friends and his beloved dog Sophie.
Pallbearers will be Joe Brandon Thornton, JJ Gilbert, Nathan Gilbert, Bubba Gilbert, James Coomer and James Roberts.
Honorary Pallbearers: Paul Hurst, Alan Goodwin, Jeff Townley, Tim Cook and Micheal Lee.
