It is with great sadness we share the passing of Burton Gebo, Jr., at the age of 84, on August 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Bert was predeceased by his parents Burton, Sr. and Helen Gebo; in-laws Raymond and Dorothy; brother Bob; son-in-law David Griswold; and cherished pets Sadie and Sophie.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 53 years Constance (Connie); daughters Coleen (Scott), Barb, Deanne (Brian), and Alison (Drew); granddaughters Becca (Jeff) and Lydia; grandson Tony (Joan); great granddaughter Peyton; brother Kevin, Sr. (Joan); nephew Kevin, Jr. (Leana); niece Krissy (Giorgio); great nieces Celia and Lumina; great nephew Luca; and loving companion Joella. He also left behind many cousins, good friends and great neighbors including Brian, Rick O, Rick H, Kyle, Dawn, Jim, Nettie and Dan.

Bert was born in Plattsburgh, he graduated from Binghamton North High School (1959) where he wrestled and ran track, Montefiore Hospital's School of Nursing (LPN, 1967) and Broome Community College (RN, 1979). Bert retired from the Binghamton Psychiatric Center after more than 35 years of devoted service. After his retirement he went on to provide his nursing skills to the residents at Elizabeth Church Manor Nursing Home.

Bert was a US Army Veteran, a member of the Chenango Bridge Fire Department (39), BPOE 852, Southern Tier ABATE and Binghamton HOG. He was an avid sportsman, enjoyed motorcycle rides, driving the Midi, gardening, flying kites with Lolo, attending family sporting events, dressing up for Halloween, driving his car dressed as Santa and walking with Joella around the neighborhood.

In accordance with Bert's wishes there will be no services or calling hours.

Memorial contributions in Bert's memory can be made to the Chenango Bridge Fire Department (39), Broome County Humane Society or Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
