Aaron Legrande "Buster" Butts, 61, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025.

A proud Rossville High School graduate, Class of 1981, Buster was known for his warm heart and vibrant spirit. He spent over 15 years as a Barbecue Pitmaster at Hot Sauce Charlie's, where his fun-loving personality and delicious barbecue made him a community favorite. Buster also worked as a cook at Standifer Place Nursing Home for several years, where he was adored by staff and residents alike. A dedicated member of Shepard Arms Rescue Mission, he was affectionately called "the life of the house." Buster's kindness and humor will be missed by all who knew him.

Buster was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Butts; his father, Calvin Butts; mother, Velma Butts; and his sisters: Lisa Garth, Veronica Butts, and Betty White; also his brother, Pastor Calvin White.

Survivors include his brother, Stanley Butts (JoAnn); and his sisters: Sinilia McRoberts (Marcellus), and Sandra Butts, Beverly Tankersley, Barbara Morgan, Charlene Hogg (Robert), Sharon Smith, Jackie Smith; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends who will miss his humor, kindness, and presence.
