Buster Epperson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel & Cremation Center on Jan. 7, 2026.
Buster Epperson, age 38, passed away on January 2, 2026, in Surprise, Arizona.

Buster proudly served in the United States Army for eight years, achieving the rank of Specialist (E-4). He served four tours in the Middle East and held the military occupational specialty 92A – Automated Logistical Specialist. His service reflected commitment, endurance, and a quiet sense of duty that he carried without fanfare.

Born on April 16, 1987, in Tacoma, Washington, Buster was known for his sarcastic wit, dark humor, and stoic presence. To strangers, he often appeared quiet and polite. To friends, he was anything but-his personality was large, playful, sharp, and unforgettable. Beneath the humor was a deeply kind person who cared more than he ever let on.

Buster had a special bond with his sister, whom he doted on and protected fiercely. That devotion was a defining part of who he was.

He is survived by his mother, Hyo Suk Epperson, and his sister, Hannah Epperson, along with many friends who considered him family.

A gathering to honor Buster's life will be held on January 8, 2026, from 2:00–4:30 PM at Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel & Cremation Center, Sun City, Arizona. A VA military funeral service will be held later in February, with details to be announced.

Buster will be remembered for his loyalty, his humor, his quiet strength, and the lasting impression he left on everyone who truly knew him.
