A cremation service for Byron Dorrance, 79, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, is being conducted by Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Byron was born on September 21, 1946, in Los Angeles, California, to Louise Angeline (Edwards) Dorrance and Meredith Ely Dorrance. He passed away on January 10, 2026, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. On April 13, 1995, he married his beloved wife, Nancy Dorrance, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Throughout his life, Byron found great joy in woodworking, particularly in creating beautiful pieces of furniture. His artistic talents extended beyond woodworking; he was skilled in design and could transform a bathroom from start to finish with ease. Byron also worked as a meat cutter for Sam's Club.
Byron leaves behind his wife, Nancy, of the home; his son, Jordon Dorrance, of San Diego, California; one sister residing in Washington; one brother-in-law, Dan Maddas of Stigler, Oklahoma; along with several other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Byron Dorrance will be remembered for his creativity and the joy he brought to the lives of those around him.
