Byron Eugene Syphrett, of Garland, Texas, passed away on December 12, 2025, at his home after a 4 1/2 year battle with ALK+ lung cancer. He was born in Kenner, Louisiana, to Henry and Tamora Syphrett in 1974.

Byron was a loving father and husband. He was a devoted family man and is loved and admired by family and friends. He was the life of the party and the heart of his family. Byron was a goofy guy that could make you laugh on your worst days. He enjoyed working with his hands, a joy he found at an early age helping is father on projects.

Byron was a man of faith, and towards the end of his cancer fight, his faith grew in leaps and bounds. He enjoyed reading his parents old bible and praying with family and friends. He is now pain free, cancer free and worry free.

Byron Eugene Syphrett will be missed greatly.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa A Syphrett of Garland, Texas, daughter, Madison Carter, son, Carter Syphrett, brother, Derek Syphrett, his sister, Melissa Syphrett and his brother, Chad Syphrett and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Syphrett, his mother Tamora Syphrett and father, Henry Syphrett.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. A Graveside service will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas at 11:00 AM.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please donate to ALK+ Lung Cancer research.
