Calvin was such a blessing to 5 generations of our family - starting with my great-grandmother, Opal Shoe, who was faithful to attend and who listened, intently, to his sermons. My mother, Norma Driver, called on him when any of our family needed him and he was always there with us. I, specifically, remember when my dad, of whom I was not sure was saved, was critically ill in the hospital. I called Calvin and asked him to come to the hospital to speak with my dad and help lead him to Christ, by faith. Calvin spent time speaking with my dad, and with all of us, and was such a comfort, especially, to my mother. Before he left, he said, "You've accepted Christ,by faith, right, Don?" Dad replied, "Right, buddy." I was so thankful to God and to Calvin for coming! Calvin knew we needed to hear the assurance that dad was saved - that he had accepted Christ by faith. God bless this wonderful, gentle, loving man of God. Well done, thou good and faithful servant...

Brother Calvin has always been a very important part of my life. He has buried and married nearly everyone in my family.
He was my pastor, mentor, and dear friend, as was Arlene. Earth´s loss is definitely Heaven´s gain! We will all miss him, but he is with Jesus, and the love of his life, Arlene! He leaves quite a legacy, and will always be remembered for being a true man of God. Praying comfort to Kent, Ralene, Karen, and their families in the earthly loss of their precious Daddy.
I loved him dearly!

Bro. Calvin was my family´s Pastor, neighbor and friend. He was a great man and a great spiritual leader. He led our son to the Lord. Though Bro Calvin is now absent from his body, he is present with the Lord and a great host of people who are in heaven because Calvin was an obedient servant of Jesus and a faithful spiritual guide.
