C. Ronald Wise of Campbellsville, son of the late Chester “Bill” Wise and Dorothy Thompson Wise, was born December 5, 1947 in Marion County, Kentucky. He died at 4:28 A.M., Tuesday, October 14, 2025 in Louisville. Age: 77
He professed faith in Christ and attended Bethel First Presbyterian Church.
Ron was a retired CPA. He was the former President of United Citizens Bank and currently served as a consultant with the bank.
Ron established the CPA firm that is currently known as Wise, Buckner, Sprowles & Associates. He was a long time member of the Campbellsville Board of Education, and was involved with the Campbellsville Jaycees. He loved Campbellsville and was an avid golfer, a card shark, loved traveling and spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed music of all genres and always sang from his heart, although seldom on key.
Ron united in marriage to Sue Antle July 20, 1982.
Besides his wife, Sue Wise of Campbellsville, he is survived by three daughters: Melissa Ellis and husband, Alfred of Dunnville; Pat Watson and husband, Mike of Knifley and Mackenzie Wahl and husband, Craig of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; twelve grandchildren: Jacob Ellis and wife, Kayla of Dunnville, Ethan Ellis of Campbellsville, Seth Ellis and wife, Anastasia of Dunnville, Moriah Konvalin and husband, Andrew of Dunnville, John Samuel Ellis of Dunnville, Julia Miller and husband, Allen of Russell Springs, RuthAnna Ellis of Greensburg, Sarah Ellis of Dunnville, Micah Ellis of Dunnville, Caitlin Watson and significant other, Drew Logue of New Albany, Indiana, AnnaBeth Walker and husband, Landon of Greensburg and Payne Watson of Florence, Kentucky; nineteen great-grandchildren; one brother, George Wise and wife, Donna of Campbellsville; one brother-in-law, Larry G. Cox of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Ron was also preceded in death by a sister, Donna Cox.
