Cade D. Johnson, 18, of Fortville, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born on June 14, 2007, in Carmel, Indiana, he was the beloved son of Mark and Kim (Bowen) Johnson.

Cade was a senior at Options School Noblesville Campus, having previously attended Mt. Vernon schools for many years. With a passion for service, Cade had recently begun firefighter training with the Sugar Creek Township Fire Department and had plans to complete his EMT certification in the spring.

Known for his adventurous spirit and strong work ethic, Cade lived life with enthusiasm and heart. He enjoyed baseball, riding motorcycles and quads, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Cade worked on several local farms, always ready to lend a hand wherever it was needed. He also loved playing video games, especially with his sister Katlynn and friends.

Cade was a member of the Fortville Church of the Nazarene Youth Group and cherished the friendships and faith he found there.

In his final act of generosity, Cade chose to be an organ donor, giving the gift of life and healing to others-a reflection of his giving heart and deep desire to help those around him.

He is survived by his parents, Mark and Kim Johnson; his sister, Katlynn Johnson; grandmothers, Bonnie Bowen and Cindie Johnson; and a large, loving extended family including aunt Kris (Corey) Lewis, uncle Dave (Suzann) Johnson, aunt Kerin Banfield, uncle Derrick (Ginny) Johnson, aunt Lindsey (Andrew) Eberwine, and cousins Darrin Johnson, Shelby Mader, Gabe Lewis, Ashley Lewis, Mya Lewis, Izzy Banfield, Emily Banfield, Griffin Johnson, Riley Johnson, Emma Johnson, Rowan Eberwine, and Silas Eberwine.

Cade was preceded in passing by his grandmother Dalene "Granny" Nordyke and grandfathers David Johnson, Sr. and William Bowen.

A funeral to celebrate Cade's life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the Fortville Church of the Nazarene, 701 S. Maple Street, Fortville, IN 46040. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. In accordance with Cade's wishes, cremation will follow.

Cade's light, laughter, and kindness will forever be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial contributions in Cade's memory may be made to Vernon Township 602 Vitality Drive Fortville, IN 46040. Please put Cade's name in the memo line and the funds will be directed to the Vernon Township Fire Department.
