Caitlin Elaine Shimakonis

Caitlin Elaine Shimakonis, 23, of Muscle Shoals passed away on August 16, 2023. Visitation will be Saturday August 26, 2023 from 9-10 am at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, Russellville with a service to follow at 10 am. Bishop Joseph Cole will be officiating. She loved her animals. She had a heart of gold and a pure soul. Caitlin was a CNA and loved taking care of people. She enjoyed reading, writing, and doing art work. Her faith was extremely important to her. Caitlin loved her family most of all.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Elaine Ann Shimakonis; paternal grandfather, Steven Shafer, Sr.; and paternal uncle Justin Shafer.
She is survived by her father, Brian Shafer (Farrah); mother, Tira Jo Shimakonis; sisters, Cami B. Shimakonis, Corrine Millet; brother Antonio L. Shimakonis; maternal uncle and caregiver, Anthony Tyler Shimakonis (Jennifer Louise); maternal grandfather, Anthony F. Shimakonis; paternal grandmother, Wilma Shafer; cousins, Salem, Anthony Davin, Sicily, Dresden, Deakin, and Syria Shimakonis; paternal uncle, Steven Shafer Jr.; maternal aunts, Tanya E. Oakes, Tracey L. Adair, and Teana M. Isbell; pet hamster, Azule; as well as many other loving family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Brian Shafer, Anthony Tyler Shimakonis, Christian Compton, Anthony Davin Shimakonis, Dresden Shimakonis, Micheal Oakes, Draven Terry, and Derek Isbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Shafer Sr., Justin Shafer, Anthony Shimakonis, Deakin Shimakonis, Antonio Shimakonis, and Troy Adair.
